My dear friend who has been a singer for over 40 years learned about singing straws from a speech therapist after she had been ill. For years I saw her carrying around a small plastic bag with coffee straws. I was really excited upgrading her tool kit with these gems.

Not being a singer to begin with, I need all the help I can get this little straw was amazing.

I noticed that after using the straws my throat was feeling different as if my vocal cords had a work out. Which is a good thing. I'm also hearing a change happening in the tone of my voice after a short warm up using the Singing Straws.

Ten years ago I retired and moved to a horse farm. My music partner had died unexpectedly and I gradually stopped singing. After ten years of disuse, hay dust, and dehydration, I had no voice (not surprisingly). I decided to try the Singing Straw to get back my enjoyment of singing and avoid developing an “old lady” speaking voice. I’ve been using the straw daily for a little over two weeks, along with Whitney’s YouTube videos. I am definitely noticing an improvement and am hopeful that continued practice will make an even bigger difference!

I own the original steel version but had lost two of the them, so when ordering more I decided to try the Sili. I like it even more, because it's softer and easier to use with no hands; this is beneficial to me because I often use it either while driving to gigs or doing other tasks. Enjoying the process and the results of straw phonation.

I love the singing straw and the singing straw pro. I’ve been recovering from a vocal injury where SOVT has been invaluable to my recovery, my speech therapist had me using a regular straw to begin with and then I purchased singing straw and singing straw pro and these took my training to another level because I can vary the amount of pressure by using different combinations of my straws. My vocal coach also uses the singing straw. The kit is handy and portable enough to carry in your pocket and is made of durable materials. The videos and warm ups available on the website are excellent and very user friendly.

The singing straw method is well known and proven to improve vocal range and breath control. There is a learning curve to be reckoned with here. I advise that you watch some YouTube videos on the subject and go from there. I think this little package is sweet! It's got everything you'd need. I am unable to use the smallest of these straws, but I'm going to learn a little finesse and tackle the baby!
